Art and Design
In Key Stage 3 pupils study Art and Design for one hour per week in Years 7 and 9 and two hours a week in Year 8. During these lessons they aim to develop their skills in the areas of Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Critical Studies
In Key Stage 4 pupils who choose the subject will study for 2 to 3 hours per week in both Years 10 and 11. The syllabus studied is by the OCR exam board and is entitled Fine Art. The main skills developed in lessons include Drawing and Painting, Composition, 3D assemblage and Critical Studies.
In Key Stage 5 pupils who choose the subject will study for 4 hours per week, following the specifications in the OCR syllabus covering Fine Art. |
