Rebecca, Hollie and Georgia report on health, hygiene and care in various different environments such as hospitals and factories.

We have interviewed many people from a technical manager to hospital patients, to get a range of experiences from the shocking to the excellent practices in health, hygiene and care.

The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority make unannounced visits to hospitals. They have uncovered some shocking secrets in various hospitals across the UK. Some of these secrets found in one particular hospital are a filthy ward toilet was found with a seat covered in sewage. The inspectors also reportedly saw staff failing to wash their hands before handling food after contact with patients. In the hospital reports announced in 2009 it was stated that clutter was found everywhere making cleaning very difficult.

We have found out, from our interviews that the hygiene in hospitals has improved massively over the past few years as you will find out throughout our interviews.

Our local food plant has reassured us that each member of staff participates in the clean as you go policy to keep their food to the highest standard possible.
